Cedar Crest Farm is a versatile and compact equestrian facility combining pleasing aesthetics with practical imaginative design.  Completely concealed from the road, the farm is nestled on 64 secluded acres in the heart of Dutchess County's renowned hunt country.  Numerous equestrian events and activities take palce locally, the Mashomack Polo Club is nearby and HITS showgrounds are less than an hour away.

Whether you want to continue an established boarding and lesson business, breed thoroughbreds, train competition horses or just enjoy the pleasures of your own equine pets this farm will cater for your needs.  Set in rolling countryside, the 29 stall barn is built around a European-style courtyard.  A 80 ft by 200 ft indoor arena, with a sand and rubber footing complemented by a misting system, is attached directly to the stables for comfort and convenience. A comfortable viewing room, spacious tack room, was and tack-up stalls and two offices complete the rance of facilities available.

Outdoor features include a 160 ft by 160 ft arena, a state-of-the-art Belebro horse exerciser and and abundance of cross-country fences at novice and training levels including a Derby bank.  There are more than 40 acres of fenced paddocks surrounded by hacking trails where riders can exercise, enjoy the areas' natural beauty and abundant wildlife and cool off their horses.

FARM ACCOMODATIONS

For family, guests and clients.

An attribute of this lovely farm is the extensive accomodations situated over the stables.  Two comfortable and well-appointed guest suites on one side of the building share a large kitchen whilst a further suite on the western side features its own kitchen and dining area. All connect to a spacious, airy club room suitable as a comfortable place to relax or a stunning venue for parties and apres-ride activities.  There is also extensive storage space and room for further expansion of the guest rooms.

The second floor of one wing of the main building is dedicated to staff lodging thus solving the headache that besets the owners of many horse businesses or hobby farms located in rural areas.  The cleverly designed space comprises of seven bedrooms, thee bathrooms. kitchen, sinsing/living room and T.V. lounge.

THE MAIN RESIDENCE

The main house sits privately at the back of the property on a hillside overlooking the farm with Stissing Mountain Park and the Catskill mountains beyond. The views are spectacular and it is easily to imagine sitting admiring the sunset from the porch with a cool drink in hand or dining al fresco on the patio after a long day spent riding and training horses.
